Our drivers arrive dressed in traditional attire consisting of a white tuxedo shirt with a black string tie and black leather vest, black pants, and black leather riding boots wearing a single spur. All services include (if desired) a traditional “single spur ceremony” at the grave site at no additional charge. This ceremony includes a brief description of the symbolic nature of the single spur, and the presentation of our rider’s single spur to a family member as a keepsake to remember their loved one’s final ride.
Our basic service includes transportation for your loved one from your local funeral home, to a church (if desired), and on to their final resting place within 50 miles of Marshall, MI for $695.00. An additional mileage fee for services outside the Marshall area is $1.00 per mile over the first 50 miles. These services may include a final drive down your loved one’s favorite road, past their favorite fishing hole, or by their local pub or golf course one last time. Our mission is to make your loved one’s final ride an experience that will be cherished and remembered by family and friends, long after he or she has reached his or her final resting place.
We can also provide a solo trumpet player to perform “Amazing Grace” live at the grave site. This is one more way Hometown Hearse Company provides an experience few others can match.
